Danna Bowe

Paxton’s Momma/President

Paxton’s Momma, Danna is grateful that PAX provides a forum for her to make good on a promise she made to her beloved son: “…to never, ever stop fighting his fight.” As she does, Danna is honored to say his name, tell his story – and spread PaxLove across the globe. Danna resides in Elm Grove, with Paxton’s little sister – Nova Paxton. In addition to mothering a child on ‘both sides’ of the universe, our fearless Warrior Momma spends her days as a high school, special education teacher, and her nights as a cancer-fighting ninja.

Connie Shaikh

Board Member

Connie was chosen by our brave, blue-eyed boy as one of his favorite earth angels – long before she became a household name among PAX headquarters. Connie is a busy mom raising three active children, three (equally active) dogs; manning court as the behind-the-scenes catalyst to the continued success of SURG Restaurant Group; and serving as Nanny Extraordinaire, and quasi-mama, to Paxton’s little sister, “Ms. Nova”.

Connie and her husband, Omar, are co-owners of SURG Restaurant Group. In that capacity, Connie has organized, sponsored, co-hosted many charitable events. In addition to her involvement in community programs (Sojourner Peace Center, JCC KidShare, Miracle League, SHARP Literacy, Ronald McDonald House). Connie’s drive to make the world a better place has ranked her among Milwaukee’s most influential philanthropists.

Paxton certainly chose wisely, when he sent this earth angel our way.

Amy Siodlarz

Vice President

The loving aunt (Lala) to Paxton, Amy is also the mother of three beautiful children. Following her beloved nephew’s passing, Amy & her husband Stephen relocated from Madison to New Berlin – where she is a Physical Therapist. Her commitment to watching her nephew live on inspires Amy to connect with other children and families affected by childhood cancer. She is proud to help coordinate and deliver the personalized support for our Warriors and their families. Her favorite part of being involved with PAX – making a difference in the lives of children with a cancer diagnosis in honor of her “One”, Paxton Bowe.

Allison Bussler

Board Member

A childhood friend to Danna and forever friend to Paxton, Allison enjoys being able to ease the unimaginable burden families fighting childhood cancer endure on a daily basis. After watching the devastating impact childhood cancer had on Danna’s life – Allison was compelled to aide in the fight on behalf of other families.  Her favorite part of PAX is rolling Paxton’s Treat Cart through the halls of the HOT Unit & the MACC Clinic at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. The smiles the PAX cart brings to the warriors’ faces, along with Paxton’s life spark within her heart, is what keeps Allison coming back for more. Allison is the Director of Public Works for Waukesha County. She resides in Menomonee Falls with her husband, Bill, and their three beautiful daughters.

With a passion for the community, Erin loves that PAX is local, unique, and provides support directly to children and families in our community. While Erin loves getting together with friends, she notices an unyielding absence of a sweet little boy.
